Last month was a strange one for Richard Lloyd as he was involved in talks with the metropolitan police, some might say this was no surprise, he argued it was voluntary - as they always do!!! On behalf of Countrystyle, Richard actually supplied them with one of the new hooklift lorries to act as an exhibit for their ‘Bike Safe’ campaign. This saw Countrystyle’s vehicle (along with two from Birds Group and one from Cemex) arranged in a display at the Horseguards Parade in Central London. The trucks were used to give cyclists an idea of what drivers can’t see due to blind spots on their vehicles. The event proved to be a huge success for the boys in blue and Countrystyle’s efforts were gratefully appreciated.

November saw the delivery of yet 3 more lorries to Countrystyle. 3 new DAF 85.360 hooklift trucks arrived with the latest Multilift XR Lifting equipment, complete with a new generation of a sheeting system and such advancements as a system that unloads skips quicker. The vehicles are all Euro 5 Specification demonstrating Countrystyle’s commitment to the environment through reduced emissions and each have been tailored to ensure that they are totally driver friendly.

November saw Countrystyle begin to supply the Turkey Mill Estate in Maidstone with a total waste management contract. The contract was one due to the hard work and efforts of our sales team and was secured thanks to the ability of the group to supply the estate with a recycling service for cardboard, paper and glass, along with the ability to attend the site early so as to avoid inconvenience to the Turkey Mill’s tenants.
