HSE aims to reduce farm deaths in 2008.
The Health and Safety Executive has today launched a nationwide campaign to reduce the number of fatal accidents on farms in the UK, especially as recent studies have shown that in 2007 over 40 people were killed on farms, many of which were avoidable and could have been prevented.
In response to these startling figures, the HSE is promoting a number of Safety Health Awareness Days (SHADS), free training for farmers aimed at dramatically reducing the risks and deaths associated with farming.
Further information regarding the training is available on the HSE website. Click here to find out more.
